Ardea was set up in 2008 by Alexey Paramonov and Peter Alexandrov who together have about 30 years of professional experience in investment and finance.

Peter Alexandrov. Peter started his professional career as an auditor with KPMG. In 1996 he became an investment manager with Norum Oy, an international private equity investment fund focusing on investments in Russia, where he later became a partner. Peter's last job prior to setting up Ardea was in a position of Vice-President in the investment banking division of Alfa Bank in Moscow. Peter graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mechanics of St. Petersburg Polytechnical Institute and received his MBA degree in LETI-Lovanium Business School in St. Petersburg. Peter is a CFA charteholder.

Alexey Paramonov. Prior to setting up Ardea Alexey worked in banks (including Sumitomo Bank Ltd (London) and Citibank (Moscow)), in an international law firm Salans, and private equity investment companies: Salford (London), Norum Oy (St. Petersburg), and Industrial Investors (Moscow). Immediately prior to setting up Ardea Alexey worked as an investment and international finance advisor to a large Russian industrial and private equity investment group. Alexey graduated from Oriental and Law Faculties of St. Petersburg State University, he has an MBA degree from London Business School and LLM degree from Queen Mary University of London.
